After all - life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, "WAA HOO!! What a ride!"

I'm a retired police officer (also ex-Army) whose daily uniform now consists of shorts and a t-shirt (but honestly, I clean up really well!) I'm low maintenance with an absolutely terrific sense of humor! I can take care of myself, but wouldn't mind handing over the reins now and then.

I enjoy fishing, (have boat, dock & gear) diving, shooting, and a lot of things considered "manly", but I equally enjoy my artwork, cooking (yes - I'll share the kitchen), and homemaking. I like traveling, but like coming home even better. My current "Songs for My Truck" CD- burned from my iTunes list has Jazz (Spyro Gyra), Rock(70's, 80's, 90's), Electronic, Comedy, Blues, Alternative, Pop, Classical (Andrea Bocelli's voice knocks my socks off!), and 1 (one) Country song:"Beer For My Horses" - Love it! -and I don't know why. Must have something to do with stringin' up the bad guys. Seems my taste in music is as eclectic as the rest of my life.

Fitness is important, but no longer from the standpoint of my going to the gym all the time like it was when I was on the job. Between the military and the P.D. it was always mandatory to meet certain requirements, and now that I'm retired, I like not having to sweat in such a structured environment like a gym any more. Now days I keep fit according to my own guidelines usualy through some pretty hard physical labor, an occassional Tae Bo workout, swimming, and cocktail hour with my neighbors.

I would enjoy spending time with someone who has a good sense of humor and has been around the block a few times and lived to tell ( and laugh) about it. I give (and expect in return) respect, honesty, courtesy, and loyalty. If you like, you may have my undivided attention. If not - well, then go do your thing, and I'll do mine - then we'll get together afterwards to talk and laugh about it. I like to cuddle, but I don't need a steady diet of it to feel secure in a relationship. I'd realize just as much security and comfort from your bringing me a cup of coffee up to the workshop or studio when it's not expected. Just keep me on your mind & sneak up behind me with a hug and a kiss once in a while, and I'm OK. Bringing me flowers gets you extra credit. I understand manspeak.

I'm a pretty much a no nonsense girl who will tell it like it is (usually with a touch of humor inserted). I'm very candid. If I told you what all my friends say about me - well, you just might opt to have me either sainted or institutionalized instead of having a drink or a cup of coffee with me.
